The purpose of <br /> this original organization was to provide for the F Region Nine (9)- <br /> needs of planners in rural and suburban Region 10 (No RDC) <br /> areas. In 1962, MAPO was reorganized as <br /> MPA, with the goals of assisting newly formed G Metropolitan Council (11) <br /> planning commissions throughout the state <br /> and promoting a positive legislative <br /> environment for planning.
