Chair Faust felt the letter from Mr. <br /> 7 Barton regarding his experiences with this request was a "pot <br /> 8 shot " at the Planning Commission . <br /> 9 <br /> 10 B. Discussion of Proposed Ordinance No. 1993-012 - Council <br /> 11 Referred Item <br /> 12 <br /> 13 This ordinance refers to drainages systems and some of the <br /> 14 present prohibitions regarding location relative to structure . <br /> 15 The City Manager noted that there are many instances where <br /> 16 downspouts extend a greater distance than five feet into the <br /> 17 yard. <br /> 18 <br /> 19 Chair Faust felt the ordinance was reasonable in its present <br /> 20 form. <br /> 21 <br /> 22 The City Manager felt the ordinance could be re-worked for <br /> 23 both primary structures and accessory buildings . <br /> 24 <br /> 25 The Chair suggested that the reference to "eaves" be deleted <br /> 26 and the remainder of the ordinance be unchanged. <br /> 27 <br /> 28 Commissioner Madden inquired what would be the status of <br /> 29 existing conditions . The City Manager responded they would be <br /> 30 grandfathered in . <br /> 31 <br /> 32 C. Planning Commission Appointment Limits - Council Referrd <br /> 33 Item <br /> 34 <br /> 35 This matter was brought to the City Manager by the Planning <br /> 36 Commission Chair for the purpose of getting the opinions of <br /> 37 members of the City Council . <br /> 38 <br /> 39 The City Manager stated that the Councilmembers were <br /> 40 interested in the individual opinions of the members of the <br /> 41 Planning Commission and referred .. the matter back to the <br /> 42 Planning Commission . <br /> 43 <br /> 44 Commissioner Franzese felt the Council already had the option <br /> 45 of replacing members of the Planning Commission and she <br /> 46 opposes limits . <br /> 47 <br /> 48 Commissioner Gondorchin noted that the three year terms could <br /> 49 be changed to two year terms if the Council saw fit . <br /> 50 <br />
