MEMORANDUM <br /> DATE: March 13, 1995 <br /> TO: Planning Commissioners <br /> FROM: Kim Moore-Sykes, Management Assistant <br /> ITEM: Banners <br /> Recently, a resident brought to the City staff's attention a concern regarding a violation of <br /> the City Code as it relates to banners. According to Chapter 14, the sign ordinance, a <br /> banner is allowable as a temporary sign as long as it adheres to the perimeters established <br /> by the ordinance, (1400.08, Subds. 10 and 32). <br /> It can not have a surface area more than 32 square feet; <br /> It can not be displayed for more than 30 days in any year; and <br /> " Permission from the City Manager is required. <br /> The.City Manager sent a letter with an explanation of the ordinance to the individual <br /> displaying the prohibited banner and requiring that the banner be removed. <br />
