City Manager, <br /> 2 City Manager Mornson reported a survey had been conducted of New Brighton and <br /> 3 Minneapolis in regards to building, heating, and plumbing permit fees. He reported that <br /> 4 the St. Anthony fee schedule had not been updated for quite some time. He <br /> 5 recommended an ordinance be proposed to adopt the fee schedule of New Brighton for <br /> 6 plumbing and heating permits. <br /> 7 Mornson reported that direction had been given to the architect to put the plans for the <br /> 8 proposed Community Center/City Hall into booklet form for City Hall and the School <br /> 9 District. The plans will outline the existing structure in comparison to the proposed <br /> 10 structure. <br /> 11 Mornson reported it may not be necessary to hold a work session on March 7, 1995. He <br /> 12 also stated that the March 28, 1995 City Council Meeting would have to be rescheduled <br /> 13 to begin at 8:01 P.M., due to the referendum election. <br /> 14 <br /> 15 E. Recognition of Contributors/ Supporters of the Drug Abuse Resistance Education <br /> 16 (D.A.R.E.) Program. <br /> 17 Chief Engstrom and Mayor Ranallo presented Firstar Bank of Minnesota with a plaque of <br /> recognition for their five years of contributions to the D.A.R.E. Program. Mike Dill was <br /> 19 present to represent Firstar Bank. He stated the bank and himself personally believe in <br /> 20 the D.A.R.E. Program. Chief Engstrom thanked Mr. Dill for the many things the bank <br /> 21 and the staff do to support the Police Department and the whole community. <br /> 22 Chief Engstrom and Mayor Ranallo presented Mr. Ted Holsten, St. Anthony Kiwanis, <br /> 23 with a plaque of recognition for their five years of contributions to the D.A.R.E. Program. <br /> 24 Mr. Holsten accepted the plaque on behalf of the Kiwanis. Chief Engstrom stated he is <br /> 25 proud to be a member of their organization and that without their help it would not be <br /> 26 possible for the D.A.R.E. Program to be a success. <br /> 27 Chief Engstrom and Mayor Ranallo presented Mr. Joe Sroga, Sroga Automotive, with a <br /> 28 plaque of recognition for his five years of contributions to the D.A.R.E. Program. Mr. <br /> 29 Sroga's son, Jason, accepted the plaque on behalf of Sroga Automotive. Chief Engstrom <br /> 30 stated the Sroga family has been involved in the community as long as he has known <br /> 31 them and thanked Jason for the support given to the D.A.R.E. Program. <br /> 32 Chief Engstrom and Mayor Ranallo presented Mr. Tim Mezzenga, Tracy Printing, with a <br /> 33 plaque of recognition for his five years of contributions to the D.A.R.E. Program. Mr. <br /> 34 Mezzenga indicated the Police Department had done a great job with the D.A.R.E. <br /> 35 Program and he was proud to help. Chief Engstrom stated that Mr. Mezzenga was a vital <br /> component in the D.A.R.E. Program and has helped make the Program a success by <br /> 7 doing all the printing at no charge. <br />
