Bob Koss will facilitate the meetings. <br /> 3 Commissioner Franzese asked if the Task Force would be working from the three plans <br /> 4 submitted for the parks. <br /> 5 Morrison confirmed they would. <br /> 6 Commissioner Franzese stated she felt all three plans had something to offer but she was <br /> 7 disappointed that they were not implementable, where items could be phased in as the City <br /> 8 could afford them. <br /> 9 <br /> 10 Draft Review of Comprehensive Plan -- July 16, 1997 <br /> 11 Submit Draft Plan to Metropolitan Council -- July/August <br /> 12 Public Hearing, October -- City Council <br /> 13 Chair Bergstrom asked if a redevelopment plan had been submitted by BRW, Inc. He stated <br /> 14 he was displeased with the general tone and feel of the document and the process. <br /> 15 VIII. COMMENTS. <br /> 16 Commissioner Gondorchin distributed copies of a letter addressed to the City Council which <br /> 17 he had drafted in response to discussion of split liquor in the City of St. Anthony at the <br /> 18 previous meeting. <br /> 19 Chair Bergstrom noted the letter should be "cc" to.City Manager and City Liquor Operations <br /> 20 Manager. <br /> 21 Commissioner Horst stated he was in favor of the concept. <br /> 22 City Manager suggested the word "bar" be removed from the first sentence of the second <br /> 23 paragraph, as the City does have a profitable bar operation. <br /> 24 Commissioner Gondorchin stated the idea is to get a combination. The food portion of the <br /> 25 City's establishments always fail. The Commission's goal was to attract establishments <br /> 26 which focus on dining with liquor, not burgers and beer. <br /> 27 <br /> 28 Mornson noted this is a very complicated issue. He suggested the Council will probably take <br /> 29 this under advisement and address it at a goal setting session. <br /> 30 Chair Bergstrom noted there is a timing issue involved. He stated there is a small window of <br /> 31 opportunity available with the redevelopment of Apache Shopping Center. <br /> 32 Commissioner Horst noted that all business is not good business. Since the addition of the <br /> 33 Family Deals Store in the St. Anthony Shopping Center, his bad checks have increased by <br /> 34 300% and the shoplifting has also increased. He encouraged the addition of fine dining <br />
