ANTHONY VILLAGE, MN 55418 <br /> HONORABLE COUNCIL, <br /> WE ARE REQUESTING A PERMIT FOR A GROUND SIGN AT: VALVOLINE INSTANT <br /> OIL CHANGE - 3701 ST. ANTHONY VILLAGE, MN. <br /> STUDYING THE TRAFFIC AT THIS INTERSECTION REVEALS THAT THE BULK OF <br /> TRAFFIC COMES FROM THE FREEWAY TO THE EAST. <br /> APPROACHING FROM THAT DIRECTION, THE BUILDING AND EXISTING WALL <br /> SIGNS ARE TOTALLY HIDDEN FROM VIEW. 100% OF THE TRAFFIC FROM THAT <br /> DIRECTION (WHICH AS YOU KNOW, IS A MAIN FEEDER) CANNOT SEE ANY PART <br /> OF OUR STORE UNTIL DRIVING PAST IT. AFTER DRIVING PAST, OUR STORE IS <br /> EXTREMELY HARD TO RETURN TO. THE AVERAGE DRIVER CAN NOT REACT <br /> QUICK ENOUGH TO TURN INTO OUR DRIVE, BECAUSE THE BUILDING AND <br /> INTERSECTION COME UP TOO QUICKLEY. ALSO, IF YOU DO MANAGE TO TURN <br /> NORTH ON SILVER LAKE ROAD, YOU STILL CAN'T TELL THE STORE IS THERE, U� <br /> BECAUSE WHEN YOU LOOK OUT THE CAR WINDOW, ALL YOU SEE IS THE ^ ,�� h c1 <br /> BOTTOM HALF OF A BLANK WALL. IF THERE WAS A SECOND GROUND SIGN ft 0011 <br /> ON THE LAWN, CARS TURNING THE CORNER WOULD STILL BE ABLE TO MAKE <br /> THE DRIVEWAY AND ENTER. <br /> ALTERNATELEY, COMING FROM THE EAST, THE AMOCO SIGN IS VISIBLE FOR <br /> OVER A 1/4 MILE.
