i,asuau vaovaa p
612-788 ®U1
2904 Pentagon Dr.
St. Anthony Shopping Center
St. Anthony,Mn. 55418
re, Flowers,Arrangements and Gifts for All Occasions
14 July 98
To the St. Anthony City Council
St. Anthony City Hall
3300 Silver Lake Road
St. Anthony, MN 55418
Sirs;
We would like to express our thanks to you for your recent decision concerning the St.
Anthony Shopping Center. We are happy you want to keep the center for retail, not
industrial.
Here at Flowers in the Village, we have worked hard to build our business by providing a
quality product and a valuable service to the St. Anthony area. We appreciate your efforts
in supporting us and the center with your quest to find a suitable retail shop. We know it
will benefit the center and the St. Anthony residents.
It-has been stated how much the area really misses the grocery store. It is missed not only
for the convenience of buying food, but also as,a gathering place for the neighbors at the
deli. I hope there is some food service available at the next retail shop such as a coffee
shop or deli. It is a great place for the community to get together.
_ As you continue to work to find a new retail shop.for this location, we hope you will not. ,
only consider the needs of the residents, but will also consider the needs of the current
shopping center stores and service centers. We hope you will find a retail business that will
attract traffic into the St. Anthony Shopping Center. This will help those of us that have
continued to provide for the St. Anthony area since the closing of the Town and Country
and will help the people of St. Anthony as they shop in St. Anthony.
Thank you again for your support of Flowers in the.Village and the St. Anthony Shopping
Center.
The staff at Flowe in the Village
Don Schiller
Laura Olson
