Request of Sewer Study Committee requested that Ice Comstock <br /> City Engineer .attend one of their meetings to provide them with <br /> information. <br /> ACTION: Recommend approval although I feel the meeting would be <br /> more beneficial if the Committee could give the engineer some idea <br /> about what information they desire so we can prepare properly. <br /> 10. Reports <br /> a. Discussion of funeral leave and longevity provisions in <br /> personnel -ordinance.Non-union employees have . requested that <br /> the _personnel .ordinance be amended 'to allow them funeral- leave <br /> as the union people have. In addition I would recommend that we <br /> change Ahe longevity section so it doesn't read that it's mandatory <br /> that we give non-union employees longevity. Many of the department <br /> heads would prefer that the City. pay their hospitilization or some <br /> other fringe benefit instead of longevity. I would suggest also <br /> that we change the .longevity section- to read that any employees <br /> hired after January .l', 1976 are not eligible for longevity. <br /> ACTION: Recommend we adopt , funeral leave policy for nonunion <br /> employees and change longevity provision. <br /> b. County of: Ramsey regarding pedestrian bridge.. Informational <br /> c. LMM letter-regarding Supreme Court Appeal. Informational. Note <br /> under payments our cost for this action. <br /> d. Hennepin County regarding Joint Power Agreement for Criminal <br /> Justice Council. <br /> This agreement as presently written is not to our benefit at all and <br /> I suggest we not sign it .unless changes are made.
