The pickup by the High <br /> School Band was on 4/3/76 from 8 to 12 or 12:30. The task was performed very <br /> thoroughly, a huge amount of refuse was picked up and there were no .mishaps <br /> of any kind as far as I know. Approximately 230 band members and supporters <br /> showed up and helped. <br /> ACTION: Approve payment of funds earned by band ($2500) . <br /> '�. 8. New Business <br /> a. Discussion of removing "No Parking" restriction for 300' east of Silver <br /> Lake Road and north side of 33rd. By moving the no parking restriction on <br /> this section of street we will allow residents to stop and conduct business <br /> at city hall . <br /> ACTION: Recommend we change area, from "No Parking" to "30 Minute Parking". <br /> b. Discussion of certifying old St. Anthony Cemetary a Historical Landmark. <br /> Florence Marks and others are trying to get the old St. Anthony cemetary on <br /> Stinson Boulevard declared a historic landmark. To accomplish that they <br /> need a statement from the city that we own the cemetary and will maintain it. <br /> Mrs. Haik has more background on the subject. <br /> ACTION: Council <br /> 9. Communications & Petitions <br /> a. Letter from .Columbia Heights regarding improvement of Stinson and <br /> Silver Lane intersection. Enclosed is a letter from Malcolm Uatson, Columbia <br /> Heights City Manager, regarding Columbia Heights plans to rebuild Stinson <br /> Blvd. <br /> ACTION: I recommend that we request Columbia Heights to build the portion <br /> of Stinson in St. Anthony as a joint improvement project and that we assess <br /> the costs as prescribed by our assessment policy. <br /> 1 would also recommend that we require the St. Anthony residents who are on <br /> the Columbia Heights water system to hook up to ours so that problem area <br /> will be eliminated. <br />
