• CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br /> COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> September 9 , 1980 <br /> The meeting was called to order by Mayor Haik at 8:00 P.M. <br /> Present for roll call : Letourneau,. Ranallo,- Haik, Sundland and <br /> Marks. <br /> Also present: . Jim Fornell, City Manager; William Soth, City <br /> Attorney and Carol Johnson, Clerk/Treasurer. <br /> The following corrections and additions were made to the minutes for <br /> the Council meeting held August 26 , 1980 . <br /> Page 1, para.. 3 : Line 3 should be corrected .to read "the pro- <br /> ject cannot change" and "against" should be <br /> eliminated in "recommended against conditions. . " <br /> in line 5. <br /> Page 8, para_. 7 : The motion approving the election judges <br /> listing was "carried- unanimously" . <br /> • Motion by Councilman Marks and seconded by Councilman Sundland to <br /> approve, as corrected, the minutes for the Council meeting held <br /> August 26 , 1980 . <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Glen Martin, a member of the St. Anthony. Kiwanis Club, was present to <br /> seek Council permission- for the organization ' s .annual. "Peanut Day" <br /> solicitation in the City September 26th. He gave the Council samples <br /> of the peanut packs for which he said the club "will accept donations" , <br /> not "sell" . <br /> Motion.. by Councilman Ranallo and seconded by Councilman Letourneau to <br /> grant permission to the St. Anthony Kiwanis Club to ' conduct their <br /> "Peanut Day" solicitation throughout the City September 26 , 1980 . <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Accepted as agenda addendum were the discussion _of ,changes in the <br /> H.U.D. 701 grant appropriations under No. 9B and discussion of an <br /> appreciation dinner for volunteer committee members who serve the <br /> City along with a City open house in November under No. 9C. <br /> Mr. Fornell and Mrs. Johnson answered questions from .the Council <br /> regarding their recommendations and analysis of the proposed sewer <br /> rate ordinance. Although the Manager told the Council delaying the <br /> implementation of the new rates may result in as much as $25,000 in <br />
