Haik at 7 :30 P.M. <br /> Present for roll call : Marks , Sundland, Haik, and Letourneau . <br /> Absent: Ranallo. <br /> Also present: David Childs , City Manager; Carol Johnson, Clerk/ <br /> Treasurer; Ron Berg, Administrative Assistant; <br /> Richard Enrooth, Planning Commission representative . <br /> Motion by Councilman Sundland and seconded by Councilman Marks to <br /> approve as submitted the minutes for the Council meeting held on <br /> November 10 , 1981. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Motion by Councilman Marks and .seconded by Councilman Letourneau <br /> to approve the following licenses : (1) Bill's Sheet Metal - heat- <br /> ing; and, (2) Dick' s Standard - starting and towing. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> • Motion by Councilman Marks and seconded by Councilman Sundland to <br /> approve payment of all verified claims listed in the November 24 , <br /> 1981 Council agenda as well as $1 ,682 .04 to Planning Design and <br /> Research, Inc. and $1,730 . 26 to the Dorsey Law Firm. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Richard Enrooth was present to update the Council on the November <br /> 17 , 1981, Planning Commission- meeting, including the Champion Auto <br /> Store signage,. the abandoned bus at Joe' s Service Station, and the <br /> excess signage at the Red Owl Country Store at Apache. <br /> He reported that the Sid Johnson variance request was tabled because <br /> Mr. Johnson did not attend the meeting, apparently due to an <br /> emergency. <br /> Councilman Marks recommended that the Planning Commission begin to <br /> look at .sidewalk needs on major .streets and the City policy for assessing <br /> their cost. He also commended the Public Works Department on their <br /> care of. the City streets during the last storm, indicating MTC <br /> bus drivers ' comments tha-c St. Anthony had the only streets in the <br /> Metro area so well taken care of. <br /> Mr. Enrooth also reported that the sign ordinance revision is nearly <br /> complete and -that at least one vacancy will be occurring on the <br /> .. Planning Commission in January, 1982 . <br />
