ANTHONY <br /> • COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> March 9 , 1982 <br /> Mayor Sundland opened the meeting with .the Pledge of Allegiance at <br /> 7 :30 P.M. <br /> Present for roll call : Marks, Ranallo,. Sundland, Letourneau, and <br /> Enrooth. <br /> Also present-: Dave Childs, City Manager_ , and Ron Berg, Administrative <br /> Assistant. <br /> Motion by Councilman Ranallo. and seconded by Councilman Letourneau <br /> to approve. as submitted the minutes for the Council meeting held <br /> February 22 , 19 82 . <br /> Motion carried unanimously . <br /> Gary Fay,. Proprietor of the St.- Anthony Fun Center, -was present to <br /> ascertain whether the Council had received. any serious objections to <br /> his operation. .'Mr. Childs .reported the Police have indicated they <br /> have no problems with .the Center and -the Mayor said the only <br /> objections he has .heard have been from parents who have a problem <br /> getting their children home when they. would like them there. He <br /> thanked Mr. Fay- for his willingness to work with the City to. avoid <br /> problems and the license for the Center was approved along with <br /> others included in the agenda packet. <br /> Motion by Councilman Marks and seconded by. Councilman Enrooth to grant <br /> all licenses listed in the March . 9 , 1982 Council agenda. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Motion by Councilman Marks and seconded by Councilman Letourneau to <br /> approve payments of all verified claims listed in the March 9 , 1982 <br /> Council agenda: $1 ,384 . 57 to Planning Design .and Research Engineers , <br /> Inc. for their January andFebruaryinfiltration/inflow analysis , <br /> and $1 ,010 to be paid to the . League of' Minnesota Cities for' the <br /> labor relations subscriber service from March, 1982 to March, 1983. <br /> Motion carried- unanimously . <br /> The Manager indicated he anticipates he will. utilize the labor <br /> relations service to a great extent during contract negotiations this <br /> summer and-will base his recommendations regarding its continuation <br /> in 1983 upon- his experience with the service this year. <br /> Councilman Enrooth and the Mayor had attended the National League of <br /> Cities Conference in Washington,. D.C. . in February and. both commented <br /> briefly on their assessment of the conference and how the new Federalism <br /> approach can be expected to affect the City. Mayor Sundland said he <br />
