ANTHONY <br /> COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> • June 22 , 1982 <br /> Mayor Sundland opened the meeting with .the Pledge of Allegiance at <br /> 7 : 30 P.M. <br /> Present for roll call : Enrooth, Letourneau, Sundland, Ranallo and <br /> P4arks . <br /> Also present: David Childs , City Manager, and Larry Hamer, Public <br /> . Works Director. <br /> Motion by Councilman Letourneau and seconded by Councilman Enrooth <br /> to -approve- as submitted the minutes for the Board of. Review held <br /> June 8 , 1982 . <br /> Motion .carried unanimously . <br /> The minutes for the Council meeting held June 8th were amended as <br /> follows : <br /> Page 1, para. 1 : Substitute "7 : 30 P.M. " for "7 :45 P .M. " in line 2 . <br /> Page 5 ,. para. 5 : Substitute "Electric Services Co. " for "the same <br /> company" in line 4 . <br /> • Motion by Councilman Ranallo. and seconded by Councilman Marks to <br /> approve as amended the minutes for the Council meeting held June 8 , <br /> 1982 . <br /> Motion .c.arried unanimously. <br /> Six members of the Village Gardenettes were present to receive the <br /> City.'s commendation for theirbeautification efforts throughout the <br /> community , especially the formal entrance ' to the City. The Mayor <br /> read the . commendation and .remarked how he had noted with pride that <br /> the. new "volunteerism" advocated by the Administration was certainly <br /> not a new concept for St. Anthony where civic organizations like the <br /> Gardenettes have taken an active part in community affairs for a <br /> long time . Jennie Amundsen, 3424 Highcrest Road, accepted the <br /> commendation .and told the Council her organization .has spent over <br /> $3 ,000 on the City entrance project which- was made possible by the <br /> cooperation of other- organizations and the Public Works Department. <br /> Members -of .the' District #282 -School Board have indicated to the Mayor <br /> that they would favor a reinstatement .of .the practice of informal <br /> meetings with the Council. Council members indicated September 8th <br /> would be a date which would .be acceptable to them, although they would <br /> prefer, Friday ,. September. 10th, if no football game is scheduled for <br /> that evening. <br /> At 7 : 50 P.M. ; - the Mayor opened the public hearing on the revised <br /> • assessment rolls for Street, Storm Sewer and Waterline Improvement <br /> Project 1978-01. He commended staff for taking the initiative <br />
