ANTHONY <br /> SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES <br /> July 20 , 1982 <br /> The meeting was called toorder at 7 :00 P.M. <br /> Present: Mayor Sundland, Councilmen .Marks , Ranallo, Letourneau <br /> and Enrooth. <br /> Also Present: David Childs , City Manager and Lee Entner, Fire <br /> Chief. <br /> Those present discussed the .history of the St. Anthony Fire Depart- <br /> ment and Reserves from its early years- to the present discussion about <br /> the proposed Volunteer Relief Association and .pension program. <br /> Several alternatives were discussed concerning financing and use of. <br /> the Fire State Aid funds by the City to fund the program was gen- <br /> erally acceptable. Provision of additional .City funds to assist the <br /> fund during the first four years was also -discussed and some Council- <br /> men felt that additional data was necessary to show-where pay for our <br /> Reserve Department ranks with respect to communities of similar size. <br /> • It was decided that another work session should be scheduled for <br /> Tuesday, July 27th, at 6 : 30 P .M. to make a final decision on the <br /> matter. <br /> At this time, the Council was .advised of a joint -St. Anthony/Roseville <br /> operation to. clean up a site containing laboratory chemicals , some <br /> of which are toxic and/or hazardous. The clean up operation would <br /> begin. on Thursday, July 22nd, and the most critical part of the <br /> operation completed in 6 - 8 hours . <br /> The meeting was adjourned at 8 :50 P.M. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> David M.
