The box <br /> for the truck would be bid separately next week and presented for <br /> l Council approval at their next meeting, he added. <br /> - Motion by Councilman Ranallo and seconded by Councilman Marks to <br /> approve payment of $14 ,614 .30. to Lakeland Ford. for the Ford truck <br /> bid through Hennepin County. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Motion by Councilman Ranallo and seconded by Councilman Marks to <br /> approve payment- of $16 , 6:79 from Community Development Block Grant <br /> funds to Westwood Planning and Engineering for their services on the <br /> Kenzie Terrace Redevelopment Project study .with the remainder of their <br /> invoice to be presented to the City H.R.A. for payment from their funds . <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> As he had stated. in .his April 22nd .status report on the Kenzie Terrace <br /> Redevelopment contract negotiations , the Manager indicated he anti- <br /> cipates a final agreement on all issues remaining to be resolved to <br /> develop the best possible contract -with .the redeveloper would -be <br /> reached before May 3rd when he recommended'.an H.R.A. meeting be <br /> scheduled. If there should be unforeseen delays, Mr. Childs promised <br /> to notify the Council members in time to cancel that .meeting. <br /> Motion by Councilman Marks and seconded by Councilman Ranallo to <br /> schedule a Housing and Redevelopment Authority meeting for 7:00 P.M. , <br /> May 3, 1983 , at which the final adoption of the Kenzie Terrace Re- <br /> developer ' s Agreement_ could. be. considered along with the payment of_ <br /> $3, 073. 46 for the Kenzie Terrace Redevelopment study. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Motion by Councilman Marks and seconded by Councilman Enrooth to <br /> approve payments to Bonestroo & Associates of $2 ,030 for completion <br /> of the .Deep Well No. 3 Report and $1, 756 . 19 as compensation for con- <br /> sulting services by the Barr Engineering Company on the report. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Mayor Sundland pointed out the difficult decision faced by the State <br /> Civil Defense Agency whether or not to reject federal funding for <br /> civil defense which has been tied in with the development of a program <br /> for evacuating masses of people in the event of a nuclear bombing of <br /> the metropolitan area, ' which most persons consider -completely unrealis- <br /> tic. <br /> Motion by Councilman Marksand seconded by Councilman Letourneau to <br /> direct that a letter be written over the Manager' s and Mayor' s signatures <br /> which would indicate the City ' s opposition to H.F. 474 . <br /> ./ Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Mr. Childs distributed copies of the state aid formula advocated by <br /> the Metropolitan Losers ' Group and the Minnesota Association of Small <br />
