CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br /> . COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> April 24 , 1984 <br /> The meeting was opened at 7: 30 P.M. with the Pledge of Allegiance led <br /> by Mayor Sundland. <br /> Present for roll call : Marks , Ranallo, Sundland, Enrooth, and <br /> Makowske. <br /> Also present: David Childs, City Manager; Jerry Gilligan, City <br /> Attorney; and Larry Hamer, Public Works Director. <br /> Motion by Councilman Marks and seconded by Councilman Ranallo to <br /> approve as submitted the minutes of . the Council meeting held April <br /> 10, 1984 . <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Motion by Councilman Marks and seconded by Councilman Enrooth to grant <br /> all licenses listed in the April 24, 1984 Council agenda, as follows: <br /> Cigarette : Vincenzo' s , 2529 Harding Street N.E. <br /> Heating: Nielsen' s Sheet Metal, Inc. <br /> iVending: Apache Plaza, Ltd. , for Xerox copier. <br /> . Laundry: Larrie' s Wash, Apache Plaza. <br /> Contractors : Leo Sanders Concrete Co. and Superior Energy Products . <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Motion by Councilman Marks and seconded by Councilman Makowske to <br /> approve payment of $1,518 to Edward J. Hance for prosecutions during <br /> March, 1984 . <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Motion by Councilman Makowske and seconded by Councilman Marks to <br /> approve payment of all verified claims for April 24 , 1984 , as <br /> submitted by the City Manager. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Councilmen Ranallo and Marks reported receiving numerous complaints <br /> related to late night noises emanating from the Walbon property in <br /> the vicinity of Old Highway 8 and 33rd Avenue N.E. where the Hyman <br /> Freight Lines , Inc. is operating. These complaints seemed to be the <br /> same as those which generated the November 9 , 1983 petition signed <br /> by 22 persons from that area requesting the City to prohibit parking <br /> of semi-trailers and similar vehicles on the property and to cease <br /> 40 all trucking activities outside normal working hours. A copy of the <br /> petition and the Manager' s February 23 response to those neighbors <br /> had been distributed to the Council members and Mr. Childs reported <br />
