He said the City had allocated over <br /> $60,000 in CDBG funds towards the soil corrections, landscaping, improvements to <br /> the roadway into the project as well as More brick on the building and Walker had <br /> allocated $80,000 of their own money to upgrade the building from the type of <br /> building H.U.D. was willing to pay for. <br /> Mr. Childs indicated applications for tenancy in the senior project are being taken <br /> and selection would be made by lottery, April 16th. The Manager said he would look into it and also the condition of <br /> the sidewalks across from the trailer court on Stinson Boulevard, about which the <br /> Councilmember had gotten an irate call from a resident on an adjoining street. <br /> Councilmember Marks indicated he had detected a much more depressed attitude on the <br /> part of the congressmen he visited in Washington than he had on previous trips. <br /> He said he attributed the poor spirits to the cuts in benefits being made at this <br /> time and the Councilmember said for the same reasons, those legislators were unable <br /> to hold out much hope of the City getting further funding. "retreat" session that morning of the Executive <br /> Board of the Youth Service Bureau where there was a continuation of discussions <br /> about the mission and purpose of the organization. No definitive directions to the <br /> planning commission on which he serves evolved and another Board meeting was <br /> scheduled to be held the following Tuesday morning. <br /> An invitation had been issued to thie City officials to attend a seminar on "Teen <br /> Sui_clde", which Councilmember Marks said he assumed involved the Bureau.
