Bonniwell as a progress payment towards the .firm's <br /> examination of the City's 1985 financial statements, as submitted to the Council , <br /> May 13th. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Commander Hearn told the Council that, as proof the Legion had not forgotten its <br /> origins, a check for $500 had been recently given to Chief Hickerson towards the <br /> City participation in a national child safety program and the Commander said, the <br /> following day members of his organization would be selecting one from five District <br /> #282 high school seniors for a $500.. scholarship award. He also mentioned that his <br /> conversations with.. the Mayor before the meeting had presented the possibility that <br /> the Legion might also consider donating towards the St. Anthony school district's <br /> handicapped students' program in the future. The flag presentation was photographed <br /> by Larry Jones, staff writer for the Bulletin, and Mayor Sundland expressed the <br /> City's appreciation of "the community-service Post #513 had always provided".
