-8- <br /> Council Action <br /> Motion by Enrooth, seconded by Ranallo to authorize BWBR to revise the <br /> plans for the proposed addition to the Stonehouse (off-sale) to the <br /> extent agreed to at the February 10, 1987 Council Work Session with the <br /> architect. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Ordinance Regulating Gambling in St. Anthony Given Its First Reading <br /> The Council had directed staff to prepare an ordinance which would bring <br /> the City into conformance with the exceptions in state gambling statutes <br /> related to the number of Bingo or raffle events which could be held. <br /> Councilmember Ranallo said he understood the new Ordinance would allow an <br /> organization to sponsor only five of these events in the City in a year. <br /> He said he thought now that the Legion had moved, St. Charles was the <br /> only organization who still sponsored such activities once in a while. <br /> The fact that two more readings were required before the Ordinance could <br /> be adopted would permit confirmation that was true. <br /> Council Action <br /> • Motion by Marks, seconded by Makowske to approve the first reading of <br /> Ordinance 1987-001. <br /> ORDINANCE 1987-001 <br /> AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO GAMBLING; AMENDING THE 1973 <br /> CODE OF ORDINANCES BY ADDING A SECTION 445 <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> Motion by Ranallo, seconded by Enrooth to adjourn the meeting at 8: 14 <br /> P.M. for a work session with the City Manager related to a personnel <br /> matter. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Helen Crowe, Secretary CO )v <br /> yor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> City Clerk <br /> :cjk <br />
