• <br /> -2- <br /> The Mayor then presented a five year service pin to Mr. Childs, who had <br /> started his service as City Manager, August 17 , 1981. <br /> March 7 - 14th Proclaimed Girl Scout Week in St. Anthony <br /> Mayor Sundland read the proclamation he proposed to issue declaring the <br /> above observance of the 75th year of Girl Scouting in America "its <br /> beneficial presence in St. Anthony. " <br /> Council Action <br /> Motion by Sundland, seconded by Marks to authorize the Mayor to sign the <br /> proclamation he had just read aloud. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Brownies Thank City for Its Support <br /> Ten Girl Scout Brownies, their leader, Sue Sorenson, 120 Windsor Lane, <br /> and some of the other parents were in attendance for the following: <br /> Robin Sorenson -read the Certificate of Appreciation Troop 1040 was <br /> presenting to the City "in recognition of its sup- <br /> port of Scouting. " <br /> Stephanie Smith -made the presentation. <br /> Crystal Clear -presented the Mayor with a birthday bouquet of <br /> balloons <br /> Mrs. Sorenson -gave the Councilmembers a poster advertising the <br /> cookie sale the Scouts were conducting in St. Anthony <br /> at that time. <br /> Marks -reported he had been among the 36,000 persons who had <br /> attended the Scouts Birthday Party at the Metrodome <br /> the previous Saturday; and <br /> -later reported his wife, Florence, had served as the <br /> Volunteer Coordinator for the event. <br /> Mrs. Sorenson -said all the members of her Brownie troop had been <br /> there as well. <br /> FEBRUARY 27, 1987 COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> Motion by Makowske, seconded by Enrooth to approve the above with the <br /> • following changes: <br /> Page 5, para. 3 : Substitute "Rule" for "Title" before "29" , line 4. <br />
