Liesch <br /> 8 Associates, Inc. related to the identification of the oriqin of the <br /> 9 water plume which had contaminated St. Anthony' s water supply. <br /> 10 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 11 REPORTS <br /> 12 There were no Council reports that evening. <br /> 13 DEPARTMENTS AND COMMITTEES <br /> 14 The August liquor Sales Summary was noted and ordered filed as informa- <br /> 15 tional. <br /> 16 CITY MANAGER REPORTS <br /> 17 September 1 , 1987 Staff Meeting Notes <br /> 18 The following responses were elicited from the above: <br /> 19 Childs indicated he perceived Bill Myers should be congratulated <br /> 20 for inducing the bus stop bench owners to let the Fire Department <br /> 21 put fire safety messages in unused ad space on those benches. <br /> 22 Sundland was reminded that he wanted to offer his commendations to <br /> 23 the members of the Fire and Police Department whom he had observed <br /> 24 showing both care and comfort to the elderly woman who had col- <br /> 25 lapsed at Bakers Square the previous Sunday evening and her hus- <br /> 26 band who was understandingly very concerned. The Mayor reported <br /> 27 the two departments had responded to the emergency call very <br /> 28 rapidly and the policemen, who arrived first on the scene, and <br /> 29 the firemen, who followed close behind, had performed in what he <br /> 30 considered to be "just an excellent manner. " Mayor Sundland said <br /> 31 the victim had to be taken to the hospital and all the personnel <br /> 32 at the scene had done everything they could to make both the wife <br /> 33 and husband less frightened about that. <br /> 34 Childs reiterated that Councilmembers would be photoqraphed for <br /> 35 Civil Defense ID' s prior to the September 22nd Council meeting; <br /> 36 told Councilmember Makowske the temporary receptionist' s name is <br /> 37 Sandy Levine; <br /> f <br /> 4 <br />
