• 1 DEPARTMENTS AND COMMITTEES <br /> 2 *The Prosecutor ' s report had been discussed earlier in the evening <br /> 3 and was ordered filed as informational; <br /> 4 *The September Police Department report was ordered filed following <br /> 5 a brief discussion of the DWI ' s. It was concluded that 13 was not <br /> 6 an unusually high number of these arrests in one month; <br /> 7 *Before the September Financial report was ordered filed, Council- <br /> 8 member Makowske was told the City does assess response fees against <br /> 9 homeowners with faulty licensed alarm systems. <br /> 10 CITY MANAGER <br /> 11 <br /> 12 The October 20th Staff Meeting Notes were considered briefly with Mr. <br /> 13 Childs clarifying the location of the bench mentioned in Fire Chief <br /> 14 Entner ' s report as being on the west side of Silver Lake Road near <br /> 15 39th Avenue N.E. <br /> 16 Final Payment to be Made on St. Anthony Boulevard Reconstruction <br /> 17 Project <br /> 18 The City Manager had distributed copies of the final Short-Elliott- <br /> 19 Hendrickson, Inc. billing for $5, 421. 91, indicating it would be after <br /> a0 this payment is made that the state would be making its final inspec- <br /> t tion of the project. Mr. Childs said problems with the landscaping <br /> 22 contractor not completing his job had caused the delay. <br /> 23 Council Action <br /> 24 Motion by Ranallo, seconded by Enrooth to approve payment of $5 , 421. 91 <br /> 25 to Short-Elliott-Hendrickson, Inc. for engineering services on the St. <br /> 26 Anthony Boulevard Reconstruction Project. <br /> 27 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 28 Bids to be Taken for Pedestrian Traffic Signal on Kenzie Terrace <br /> 29 Bidding documents for the above had been submitted by the engineers, <br /> 30 Rieke Carroll Muller Associates , Inc . , and copies were distributed by <br /> 31 the City Manager. Mr. Childs indicated the traffic signal would be <br /> 32 paid from 1986, 87 , and 88 Community Development Block Grant Funds. <br /> 33 He indicated the engineers had suggested a June 1, 1988 project <br /> .34 completion date. Bidding closure date would be December 1 , 1987. <br /> 35 Council Action <br /> 36 Motion by Marks, seconded by Ranallo, to approve the advertisement for <br /> 37 bids for the pedestrian traffic signal on Kenzie Terrace to be taken <br /> •38 until 1 : 30 P.M. , December 1, 1987. <br /> 5 <br />
