1 ALL BUILDINGS AND/OR STRUCTURES IN THE CITY OF ST. ANTHONY: <br /> 2 PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF: AMENDING <br /> 3 SECTION 310: 00 OF THE 1973 CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE <br /> 4 CITY OF ST. ANTHONY AND ALL OTHER ORDINANCES AND <br /> 5 PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH <br /> 6 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 7 Public Works to Do Winter Maintenance of Ramsey County Roads in St. <br /> 8 Anthony <br /> 9 Council Action <br /> 10 Motion by Marks, seconded by Ranallo, to adopt the resolution <br /> 11 authorizing the execution of the agreement providing winter road <br /> 12 maintenance for Ramsey County roads within the City of St. Anthony <br /> 13 through the 1987 , 1988 , and 1989 winter seasons. <br /> 14 RESOLUTION 87-032 <br /> 15 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND <br /> 16 CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN <br /> 17 RAMSEY COUNTY AND THE CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br /> 18 FOR ROAD MAINTENANCE <br /> 199 :Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 20 Council Approves 1987 Police Union Contract <br /> 21 Mr. Childs reported the negotiations had gone to arbitration and the <br /> 22 arbitrator had awarded Local #57 a 4% raise in salary and a $5 . 00 <br /> 23 raise in the City' s share of contribution toward employee health and <br /> 24 life insurance. This represented 1% more than the. City' s position <br /> 25 related to salary but the same related to insurance contributions. He <br /> 26 added that the City had also been successful on some other issues the <br /> 27 union wanted, but which the arbitrator refused to award, which, <br /> 28 hopefully, would be "laid to rest" for future negotiations. <br /> 29 Councilmember Ranallo recalled that the City' s 30 offer had been <br /> 30 researched to be the same as the area private sector was paying. <br /> 31 Councilmember Makowske pointed out that the Council had based its <br /> 32 budget on that research and said she was very concerned about what <br /> 33 many more 4% raises would do to that budget given a 30 levy limit. <br /> 34 Council Action <br /> 35 Motion by Marks, seconded by Ranallo, to adopt the resolution ratify- <br /> 36 ing the 1987 labor agreement between the City of St. Anthony and <br /> 37 Police Department employees as presented in the October 27 , 1987 <br /> 38 Council agenda packet. <br /> 039 <br /> 7 <br />
