1 The Councilmember had co-signed a letter to the municipalities served <br /> by the Groundwater Study Committee, of which he is a member, warning <br /> of the need for monitoring groundwater to prevent contaminant seepage. <br /> 4 He said he anticipated there might be the same problems over whether <br /> 5 the state or the county should be responsible as there had been with the <br /> 6 watershed district issues. Mr. Childs indicated the letter was being <br /> 7 circulated. <br /> 8 Childs Reno�tsAMU 19th Ramsey County League of Loyal Governments <br /> 9 x6etim <br /> 10 Councilmember Makowske reported she had been unable to attend the above <br /> 11 because of her father's hospitalization for a few days last week. She <br /> 12 indicated she was glad the City Manager had been able to make the <br /> 13 meeting and wondered whether any action had been taken related to <br /> 14 banning plastics: <br /> 15 Mr. Childs reported the meeting had merely touched on the plastics <br /> 16, issue, promising to generate copies of the Minneapolis ordinance which <br /> 17 the City Manager reported he had been able to get for inclusion in the <br /> 18 agenda packet and discussion later in the meeting. He said the main <br /> 19 focus of the RCLLG meeting had been the joint sharing of the Turtle Lake <br /> 20 Elementary gymnasium by the City of Shoreview and the Mounds View School <br /> 21 District as an example of joint projects between cities and school <br /> 22 districts. <br /> Councilmember Makov;ske I d� icates Historical Society Undertaking <br /> ftabership Drive and Ma ing� Arrangements for Booth at Villa"Fest <br /> 25 The Councilmember reported her committee was developing a membership <br /> 26 form to accomplish the above and she had met briefly with the <br /> 27 VillageFest Committee regarding the booth. She indicated the Historical <br /> 28 Committee would like to have the resident data she was circulating that <br /> 29 evening published in the next Newsletter so people can turn them in <br /> 30 during the community celebration in June. Councilmember Makowske also <br /> 31 reported she and Florence Marks would have the by-laws and incorporation <br /> 32 documents ready for review by the Committee at their next meeting. <br /> 33 ASL 11, 1989 BOARD OF RMEN MINUTES <br /> 34 Action on the above had been deferred for clarification of the City <br /> 35 Manager's comments on Page 4 which he recommended be deleted as <br /> 36 "unimportant to any particular property valuation change." <br /> 37 Motion by Marks, seconded by Enrooth to approve the April 11th Board <br /> 38 of Review Minutes with deletion of all. of Mr. Childs' comments in lines <br /> 39 24-28. <br /> 40 Notion ,carried unanimously. <br /> 41 PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> 6 <br />
