Verified Claims <br /> 12 <br /> 13 Motion by Marks , second by Fleming to approve <br /> 14 - payment of the six pages of verified claims as <br /> 15 submitted by the Finande Director . <br /> 16 <br /> 17 Motion carried unanimously <br /> 18 <br /> 19 <br /> 20 Award Bid for Highcrest Storm Sewer Outlet <br /> 21 <br /> 22 Dana Gauthier, an engineer representing Barr Engineering, <br /> 23 advised the Council that there were eight bids received <br /> 24 for this project . The bid opening was on November 25, <br /> 25 1991 . Copies of. the bids received were distributed to the <br /> 26 Councilmembers . <br /> 07 <br /> " Gauthier stated that this is a labor intensive project <br /> 29 and felt this was reflected in the bid spread which <br /> 30 ranged from $43 , 040 . 00 to $81 , 950 . 00 . <br /> 31 <br /> 32 Barr Engineering had reviewed the bids and recommended <br /> 33 the bid be awarded to the low, reponsible bidder, F.F. <br /> 34 Jedlecki Company. Gauthier advised that the proposal <br /> 35 submitted by this firm had been reviewed and found to be <br /> 36 in proper order . He also stated that one of its <br /> 37 references had been contacted and a satisfactory <br /> 38 statement was made by that reference. <br /> 39 <br /> 40 The City Manager noted that this project had been rebid. <br /> 41 He felt the proposal of the low bidder was more in line <br /> 42 with what the Council and staff had considered <br /> 43 appropriate costs for the project . <br /> 44 <br /> 45 Motion by Marks , second by Wagner to award the bid for <br /> 46 the Highcrest Storm Sewer Outlet project to the F.F. <br /> 47 Jedlecki Company in the amount of $43 , 040 . 00 . <br /> 48 <br /> 49 Motion carried unanimously <br /> 50 <br /> 51 7 .
