He <br /> 9 noted that seventy-eight percent of the profits go to <br /> 10 winners . <br /> 11 <br /> 12 The Athletic Sports Boosters would like the lease fee to <br /> 13 stay at $600 . 00 . <br /> 14 <br /> 15 The City Manager stated that the gambling activity at the <br /> 16 liquor establishments necessitates additional rubbish <br /> 17 hauling which is very costly. He also noted that the <br /> 18 Liquor Operations Manager felt the $1 , 000 lease fee being <br /> 19 requested is comparable to what is being charged at other <br /> 20 gambling locations . <br /> 21 <br /> 22 The City Manager suggested a survey could be done of <br /> 23 other municipal operations . <br /> 24 <br /> 25 Mayor Ranallo noted that the lease fee can always be <br /> 26 lowered and that the lease agreement can be made on a <br /> V7 one-year basis . <br /> 28 <br /> 29 Councilmembers Wagner and Enrooth suggested that a lease s <br /> 30 fee of $800 . 00 would be an acceptable compromise. <br /> 31 <br /> 32 Motion by Fleming, second by Enrooth to increase the <br /> 33 monthly rent for gambling operations at each location in <br /> 34 the City to $800 . 00 and that the license for the Athletic_ <br /> 35 Sports Boosters be approved. <br /> 36 <br /> 37 Roll Call : Enrooth, Fleming, Wagner, Ranallo - aye <br /> 38 <br /> 39 Marks - nay <br /> 40 <br /> 41 <br /> 42 Motion carried <br /> 43 <br /> 44 <br /> 45 Taylor advised that the Athletic Sports Boosters had its <br /> 46 first compliance audit last week and the organization was <br /> 47 informed by the auditor that its gambling concession is <br /> 48 operated very well . <br /> 49 <br /> 50 <br /> 51 <br /> •5 <br /> 52 <br /> 3 <br /> 54 <br /> 55 <br /> 56 <br /> 57 <br />
