REPORTS <br /> 21 <br /> 22 A. Planning Commission - April 21 , 1992 <br /> 23 <br /> 24 Commissioner Madden was in attendance' at the Council <br /> 25 Meeting representing the Planning Commission. <br /> 26 <br /> 7 Madden stated he feels that the Planning Commission has <br /> been excluded from the Council proceedings and <br /> 9 deliberations regarding the conditional use permit which <br /> 30 has been requested for the Sheik ' s Garden Restaurant at <br /> 31 Apache Plaza Shopping Center . <br /> 32 <br /> 33 He recalled .that the Planning Commission had recommended <br /> 34 approval of the request on two occasions . He reviewed the- <br /> 35 history of the rejections for approval by the City <br /> 36 Council and observed that the matter is again on the <br /> 37 Council agenda for tonight ' s meeting. <br /> 38 <br /> 39 The City Manager advised that a recommendation from the <br /> 40 Planning Commission can always be brought back for <br /> 41 discussion and reconsideration . <br /> 42 <br /> 43 Stop-N-Shop Superette, 3813 Stinson Boulevard, Sign <br /> 44 Variance Request <br /> 45 <br /> 46 This business had received prior signage approval when it <br /> 47 was the intention to provide gasoline from Phillips 66 . <br /> 48 Now the firm is planning on providing Conoco gasoline and <br /> 49 this company has different signage requirements than <br /> 50 Phillips . <br /> 51 <br /> 52 Conoco has requested that their brand signs be placed on <br /> the north and south ends of the canopy sign on the side <br /> closest to the road and that the identification signs of <br />
