1 REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br /> 6 OCTOBER 13 , 1992 <br /> 3 PAGE 5 <br /> 4 <br /> 5 <br /> 6 Councilmember Wagner attended the recent Apache Plaza <br /> 7 Merchants Board Meeting. Starting on October 15th, a <br /> 8 Haunted House will be located in the Crown Shoe Store. <br /> 9 The profits from this venture will benefit the March of <br /> 10 Dimes . All of the staffing of this activity will be <br /> 11 volunteer with the exception of the Director. Security <br /> 12 will be provided and many thousands of attendees are <br /> 13 expected. <br /> 14 <br /> 15 A Customer Service Office will be located on the main <br /> 16 floor of Apache Plaza. The purpose of this office is to <br /> 17 be of service to the patrons of the shopping mall . <br /> 18 Councilmember Wagner had understood that the mall <br /> 19 manager, Kelli Johnson, and her secretary will staff the <br /> 20 office. He felt this move reflected a much improved <br /> 21 customer service attitude of the mall ' s merchants . <br /> 22 <br /> 23 Councilmember Wagner attended the meeting of the <br /> 24 Community Service Advisory Council . The Council is <br /> 25 focusing on increasing membership. He noted that the City <br /> 6 Council and the School Board have a record of very good <br /> cooperation over the last many years . <br /> 8 <br /> 29 Councilmember Wagner also attended the Open House hosted <br /> 30 by the Twin Cities Army Ammunition Plant . He was very <br /> 31 impressed with the quantity of work done there. He felt <br /> 32 it may be thirty to fifty years before all of the <br /> 33 chemical problems have been solved. <br /> 34 <br /> 35 Mayor Ranallo noted that Keith Douglas is the promoter <br /> 36 for the March of Dimes Haunted House. He understood that <br /> 37 the organization had chosen Apache Plaza for this event <br /> 38 over a site at Riverplace. The Mayor stated that the <br /> 39 March of Dimes Campaign Developer had thanked the Fire <br /> 40 Chief and the Public Works Director for their <br /> 41 cooperation. <br /> 42 <br /> 43 2 . Report of Councilmember Flemincr <br /> 44 <br /> 45 Councilmember Fleming also attended the TCAAP Open House <br /> 46 and found it very informative. She is interested in <br /> 47 seeing what will be done with the property in question. <br /> 48 She noted that it may be used for wildlife thereby <br /> 49 letting nature takes its course. <br /> 50 <br /> 0 <br />
