REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br /> DECEMBER 22 , 1992 <br /> 3 PAGE 4 <br /> 4 <br /> 5 <br /> 6 5 . Report of Mayor Ranallo <br /> 7 <br /> 8 The Mayor reported that the St . Anthony Shopping Center <br /> 9 merchants were very pleased with the participation in the <br /> 10 sleighrides they sponsored . They have stated their <br /> 11 intention to hold this event annually. <br /> 12 <br /> 13 Mayor Ranallo noted that the activities of "Santa Claus" <br /> 14 on the .fire truck in the Village was very well received . <br /> 15 He has gotten only two calls which expressed concern <br /> 16 regarding this activity. He requested the participants <br /> 17 be thanked by a letter . <br /> 18 <br /> 19 <br /> 20 B. Report of the City Manager <br /> 21 <br /> 22 <br /> 23 1 . Update on CUB Store Project <br /> 24 <br /> 25 The City Manager advised that the CUB Store project is on <br /> 6 track timewise . There will be 10 , 000 square feet allotted <br /> for the City ' s liquor store operation . Barr Engineering <br /> 8 has been hired to draft a storm water plan . Dennis <br /> 29 Cavanaugh, of the C .G. Rein Company, has been actively <br /> 30 participating in the progress of the project . The City <br /> 31 Manager also advised that the Municipal County <br /> 32 Association will be attempting to stop any tax increment <br /> 33 financing in the future. <br /> 34 <br /> 35 <br /> 36 2 . Potential Building of a Dentist ' s Office <br /> 37 <br /> 38 A dentist has expressed an interest in locating in the <br /> 39 area of 39th Avenue and Silver Lake Road. The building <br /> 40 will be residential in nature and will meet all of the <br /> 41 zoning requirements . The dentist has submitted a check to <br /> 42 protect his interest . This structure will either be in a <br /> 43 separate tax increment district or be combined with <br /> 44 Apache Plaza District . A write down for the land costs is <br /> 45 being asked in the amount of $125, 000 . The bond counsel <br /> 46 services for this venture will be rendered by the Holmes <br /> 47 & Graven law firm. <br /> 48 <br /> 49 <br /> 50 <br />
