REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br /> DECEMBER 22 , 1992 <br /> 3 PAGE 7 <br /> 4 <br /> 5 Mayor Ranallo stated he is very impressed with the amount <br /> 6 of hours put in by the Police Reserves . He noted they <br /> 7 receive no compensation nor recognition . The Mayor <br /> 8 suggested that the provision of better vehicles and a <br /> 9 scholarship program be investigated for the Police <br /> 10 Reserves for the use of the income received from pull tab <br /> 11 profits . <br /> 12 <br /> 13 Councilmember Marks inquired if a trend is being noted <br /> 14 with the increase in DWI ' s . The Chief stated a decrease <br /> 15 is expected . <br /> 16 <br /> 17 In 1994 , another officer will be receiving training in <br /> 18 the D.A.R. E. Program. The Chief felt this is a stressful <br /> 19 position in that after the duties of the D .A.R. E. Officer <br /> 20 are completed in the schools he also has to serve on the <br /> 21 streets . <br /> 22 <br /> 23 The Mayor expressed his appreciation for the regular <br /> 24 reports from the Police Department to Councilmembers . <br /> 25 <br /> 6 <br /> 8 . PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> 8 <br /> 29 A. Ordinance No. 1992-011 , Re: City Ordinances Codification <br /> 30 (Third Reading) <br /> 31 <br /> 32 The public hearing for Ordinance No. 1992-011 was opened at <br /> 33 8 : 35 p.m. No one was present for the public hearing. <br /> 34 <br /> 35 Motion by Wagner , second by Fleming to close the public <br /> 36 hearing at 8 : 40 p .m. <br /> 37 <br /> 38 The City Manager advised that one property owner had come to <br /> 39 City Hall to view Ordinance No . 92-011 . The property owner <br /> 40 made no comments after he reviewed the ordinance . The City <br /> 41 Manager felt this person was really interested in viewing the <br /> 42 Housing Maintenance Ordinance although he did not state this. <br /> 43 <br /> 44 Motion by Marks , second by Enrooth to approve the third <br /> 45 reading and passage of Ordinance No. 1992-011 being an <br /> 46 ordinance codifying the general ordinances of the City of St . <br /> 47 Anthony, Minnesota; adopting a new city code; and repealing <br /> 48 certain ordinances . <br /> 49 <br /> 50 Motion carried unanimously <br /> • <br />
