Councilmember Wagner felt having <br /> 8 them perform in the tent was a good idea . <br /> 9 <br /> 10 The Mayor has received many positive comments regarding <br /> 11 Village Fest activities . He also received very favorable <br /> 12 comments from a parade clown participant who felt the <br /> 13 children attending were eytremely well-behaved . This <br /> 1.4 behavior was also observed at the ping pong drop. <br /> 15 <br /> 16 The Mayor will be drafting a thank-you letter to be <br /> 17 submitted to the newspapers which serve the City. <br /> 18 <br /> 1. 9 Mayor Ranallo inquired if any parades had been held in <br /> : 0 the history of the City. Councilmember Marks responded <br /> 21 that the City previously celebrated "Wrangler Days" <br /> 22 usually in September . There was a parade associated with <br /> 23 this celebration. <br /> 24 <br /> 25 Councilmember Fleming noted this year was the first year <br /> for a Village Fest parade. <br /> 28 Councilmember Enrooth received some negative comments <br /> 29 from crafters who had booths at the Village Fest.. He <br /> 30 noted those who stayed until Sunday did quite well . There <br /> 31 was some thought that the location of the crafters booths <br /> 32 should be improved next year . <br /> 33 <br /> 34 The Mayor thanked members of the City Council , City <br /> 35 staff , Village Fest Committee members , and Police and <br /> 36 Fire reserves for their efforts in making this year ' s <br /> 37 Village Fest successful . <br /> 38 <br /> 39 The Mayor will again have a thank-you party at his home <br /> 40 for all of those who participated in putting Village Fest <br /> 41 on. The date will be selected- very soon. <br /> 42 <br /> 43 Regarding the open house at the Kenzington, Mayor Ranallo <br /> 44 noted that Vice President Gore and George Latimer and <br /> 45 Henry Cisneros of HUD had not responded to their personal <br /> 46 invitations to attend . The State ' s two senators and <br /> 47 District Four and Five congressmen had also been invited <br /> 48 and did not attend. The Mayor felt this was unusual in <br /> 49 that this is the first RTC project of its kind in the <br /> 50 country. <br /> • <br />
