1 REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br /> NOVEMBER 9, 1993 <br /> 3 PAGE 8 <br /> 4 <br /> 5 <br /> 6 Motion by Marks , second by Fleming to approve the conditional <br /> 7 use permit for "The Hair Solution" at 2906 Pentagon Drive with <br /> 8 the conditions as recommended by the Planning Commission . <br /> 9 <br /> 10 Motion carried unanimously <br /> 11 <br /> 12 <br /> 13 2 . Conditional Use and Variance - R. Freiberg, "Dick ' s St . <br /> 14 Anthony 66" , 2700 Kenzie Terrace <br /> 15 - <br /> 16 Commissioner Madden reviewed the requests . The proposed <br /> 17 addition of two bays in the service station building requires <br /> 18 a variance of 32 ' 6" and the proposed canopy requires a <br /> 19 variance of 23 feet . The conditional use permit is required as <br /> 20 there will be an expansion of the use of the building. <br /> 21 <br /> 22 Councilmember Fleming inquired if the number of inoperable <br /> 23 vehicles allowed on the property is the same number as other <br /> 24 service stations . <br /> 25 <br /> 26 The City Manager responded that it is the same number as the <br /> Bona station . He also stated that the station is located in a <br /> very unique site . It is small , contains two right-of-ways and <br /> 29 is triangular shaped . Also, a portion of the adjacent bowling <br /> 30 alley is located on this parcel . <br /> 31 <br /> 32 Commissioner Madden cited the following conditions recommended <br /> 33 by the Planning Commission for approval of the requests : <br /> 34 <br /> 35 a . Parking lot must be striped a minimum of eight spaces . <br /> 36 <br /> 37 b. The canopy lighting must shine down . <br /> 38 <br /> 39 c . Inoperable vehicles may not be stored on the site for more <br /> 40 than two weeks . <br /> 41 <br /> 42 d . Removal of roof sign . <br /> 43 <br /> 44 e . Where old chain link fence is currently located, new screen <br /> 45 fencing will be installed behind the building. <br /> 46 <br /> 47 f . Complete paving on east side of building up to public- <br /> 48 right-of way. <br /> 49 <br /> 50 <br /> • <br />
