City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br /> June 28, 1994 <br /> • Page 5 <br /> 1 Council consensus was that because a proposed ordinance amendment regarding ground <br /> 2 signs has not yet been developed, the matter should be tabled until such time that that <br /> 3 amendment is approved. Council directed staff to work with the Planning Commission <br /> 4 to develop this amendment. <br /> 5 Motion by Wagner, second by Marks to table the request from Belair Builders for a <br /> 6 variance to the ground sign at the St. Anthony Professional Building, 3901-09 Silver <br /> 7 Lake Road. <br /> g Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 9 B. Mayor. <br /> 10 Mayor Ranallo met with Hennepin County Commissioner Sandra Hilary <br /> 11 regarding the St. Anthony branch library. Hilary told the Mayor that no library <br /> 12 closures are proposed at this time. <br /> 13 C. Councilmembers. <br /> Councilmember Fleming said the St. Anthony Library Task Force is proceeding <br /> with the flier concept. Fleming asked for Councilmembers' assistance in the <br /> 16 door-to-door distribution of the fliers. Those who are interested will meet in <br /> 17 Room 9 at the Community Center on Monday, July 11th at 5:00 P.M.. <br /> 18 Councilmember Wagner had nothing to report. <br /> 19 Councilmember Enrooth indicated the plans for this year's VillageFest event are <br /> 20 proceeding. He commented that there are fewer vendors this year than last <br /> 21 year. The planners are seeking elected officials to ride in the parade. Also of <br /> 22 note, Nativity Lutheran Church will hold services after the Ice Cream Social on <br /> 23 the Saturday of VillageFest, August 6th. <br /> 24 Councilmember Marks reported on his recent trip to Russia. One of the items <br /> 25 he discussed with them was infrastructure. Marks was in Russia for a week. <br /> 26 D. City Manager. <br /> 27 1. Resolution 94-041, re: Joint Powers Agreement with the City of Falcon <br /> 28 Heights for police services. <br /> The City Attorney said there had been two minor changes made by <br /> Falcon Heights in the agreement which did not affect the City of St. <br /> 31 Anthony. <br />
