City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br /> July 26, 1994 <br /> Page 5 <br /> 1 meeting that evening. On August 10th a party is planned at Dr. Gary Good's <br /> 2 residence in honor of the Saarinen's. <br /> 3 <br /> 4 Councilmember Marks noted that Salo is planning a baseball tournament to be <br /> 5 held in Salo in conjunction with Sister City Days on June 8 through 11, 1995. <br /> 6 They have asked if a baseball team from St. Anthony could compete in that <br /> 7 tournament. <br /> 8 <br /> 9 C. City Manager. <br /> 10 <br /> 11 Cil, Manager Mornson informed the Council that a Recording Secretary is <br /> 12 being considered from the TimeSavers Off Site Secretarial agency to take City <br /> 13 Council and Planning Commission meeting minutes. He noted that this item is <br /> 14 included in the budget. <br /> 15 <br /> 16 Mornson said that the Government access channel has been updated. Mayor <br /> 17 Ranallo asked staff to have VillageFest items placed on the Kiwanis Community <br /> Bulletin Board. Councilmember Wagner noted that the Lions are proposing to <br /> 9 erect a Community sign at the north end of the City. <br /> 20 <br /> 21 VIII. PUBLIC HEARINGS. <br /> 22 <br /> 23 There were no public hearings. <br /> 24 <br /> 25 IX. NEW BUSINESS. <br /> 26 <br /> 27 A. Award of rubber surfaced crossing material. <br /> 28 <br /> 29 Motion by Enrooth, second by Marks to approve the award for rubber surfaced <br /> 30 crossing material as presented in a letter from the City of Columbia Heights. <br /> 31 This item is related to the Joint Cooperation Agreement the City of St. Anthony <br /> 32 has with the City of Columbia Heights for a railroad crossing at Stinson <br /> 33 Boulevard and 39th Avenue N.E. It was noted that the bid from Omni Products <br /> 34 was the lowest of three bids at $7,992.00. The City of St. Anthony is <br /> 35 responsible for half the amount of that bid and will use Minnesota State Aid <br /> 36 funds for St. Anthony's costs for the project. <br /> 37 <br /> 38 Motion carried unanimously, <br /> 9 <br /> B. Resolution 94-042, re: Subrecipient Agreement for Community Development <br /> 41 Block Grant funds (Hennepin County). <br />
