City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br /> • January 10, 1995 <br /> Page 15 <br /> 1 B. Ordinance 1994-009. re: Outside employment of CityEm ployees (2nd reading 1. <br /> 2 Motion by Wagner, second by Enrooth to approve the third reading of and adopt Ordinance <br /> 3 1994-009, relating to outside employment, amending section 300.006, subd. 1. so as no <br /> 4 employee shall work for more than one City department at a time,except in the case of <br /> 5 temporary emergency situations, and as ordered by the Department Heads of the affected City <br /> 6 departments, with the only exception being the Public Works employees who are daytime <br /> 7 Reserve Firefighters. <br /> 8 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 9 Dr. Ferguson asked if there was an update on the CUB and Knox development. <br /> 10 City Manager Mornson reported there had been no word. He reported that Mr. Finn had filed an <br /> 11 objection with the Rice Creek Watershed District and that CUB Foods was still working with the <br /> 12 Welsh Co. trying to resolve some issues. <br /> 13 Mr. Thomas Schroeder, reported that he had a meeting with Mr. Nedegaard and Mr. Bochnak. <br /> 14 He stated that Mr. Nedegaard was not interested in working with the Schroeder's. He reported <br /> 15 that Mr. Bochnak may be willing to sell his property but the price he is asking is far above <br /> market value. He indicated that he and his wife have three choices. Either the variance be <br /> 17 granted and they proceed with their plan, they purchase the property from Mr. Bochnak and <br /> 18 proceed with their plan, or they may purchase a property in New Brighton. Mr. Schroeder stated <br /> 19 that Mr. Bochnak is presently obtaining appraisals for the property and will be getting back to <br /> 20 Mr. Schroeder. <br /> 21 Ranallo advised Schroeder to contact Larry Hamer and City Attorney Soth when he had decided <br /> 22 what he would like to do. He advised Mr. Schroeder that the council wants to work with he and <br /> 23 Diane and resolve this issue as quickly as possible. <br /> 24 XI.
