Councilmembers. <br /> 3 Wagner presented the City Council with a video tape of Village Fest produced by Cable <br /> 4 Television. He indicated he had asked for a copy to send to Salo Finland. He stated it <br /> 5 needed to be edited and the standards changed to PAL before it could be forwarded. <br /> 6 Marks indicated he would obtain an estimate as to the cost of having a copy made with <br /> 7 the PAL standards. <br /> 8 Marks reported the visit from the Lindqvists of Salo Finland went very well. He thanked <br /> 9 the City Council and the City for all their participation. He indicated the next goal was to <br /> 10 have a teacher from St. Anthony go to Salo, Finland in the spring. Then, next fall, a <br /> 11 teacher from Salo, Finland come to St. Anthony. Once the teachers were familiar with <br /> 12 the teaching practices, the Sister City Committee would like to begin a student exchange <br /> 13 program. <br /> 14 Enrooth reported Village Fest 1995 was coming to a conclusion tonight with its final <br /> �5 meeting at 8:00 p.m. <br /> 16 D. City Manager <br /> 17 1. Falcon Heights/St. Anthony Police Department Open House. <br /> 18 City Manager Mornson reported Falcon Heights was holding an open house on <br /> 19 September 12, 1995 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and would like all <br /> 20 Councilmembers to be in attendance. <br /> 21 Morrison reported the next work session is scheduled for September 5, 1995. <br /> 22 Mornson reported a development agreement had been signed for the Gregory <br /> 23 Development,the Nedegaard Development and the American Monarch project. <br /> 24 He reported Nedegaard Construction closed yesterday without the Schroeder <br /> 25 property and the project will start next week. He indicated American Monarch <br /> 26 plans to close on September 15, 1995,with the new company tentatively moving <br /> 27 in October 1, 1995. <br /> 28 Mornson commended the Bulletin for their recent article regarding the current <br /> 29 developments which included a comparison of the old tax and the new resulting <br /> 30 tax. <br /> •1 Mornson reported staff is meeting with the architect daily in regards to the new <br /> 32 community center. He indicated the final bids for the plans and specifications <br /> 33 should be received by the end of October. <br />
