City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br /> October 24, 1995 <br /> Page 3 <br /> 1 B. Council. <br /> 2 Councilmember Fleming announced the library will be holding a book sale on November <br /> 3 18, 1995 next to the Montessori School. <br /> 4 Councilmember Enrooth noted next month he will provide the Council with the final <br /> 5 Villagefest balance. He reported he has not heard anything in regard to the meeting in <br /> 6 November but will have more information by the next Council meeting. <br /> 7 C. City Manager. <br /> 8 City Manager Mornson noted there had been two residents at the last Councitmeeting <br /> 9 with concerns. Mornson reported he had talked with Geraldine Shaughnessy in regard to <br /> 10 her concerns for the cars parking on Silver Lake Road and 36th Avenue and advised her <br /> 11 the best way to handle this issue is to call the Police Department when she has a <br /> 12 complaint. Mornson reported the walkway which Charlene Peterson expressed a desire <br /> 13 to have extended has been completed. <br /> 14 Mornson indicated the next scheduled City Council meeting is a work session/special <br /> 15 meeting on November 7, 1995 at 8:00 p.m. Because the work session is on an election <br /> 6 day, it will begin at 8:00 P.M. and the City election results will be canvassed by the <br /> Council as soon as they are available that evening. <br /> 18 Mornson reported he attended a pre-construction meeting for the City Hall/Community <br /> 19 Center today. The contract has been signed.and everything is going well. Construction is <br /> 20 anticipated to start next week. Mornson stated he is expecting to receive.a schedule next <br /> 21 week and will distribute it to all Councilmembers. He reported the City is still working <br /> 22 on the permit with Rice Creek Watershed which will require a change order. He reported <br /> 23 there is some underground storm drainage which will be required to meet the new Rice <br /> 24 Creek Watershed District regulations. <br /> 25 Mornson reported the valuation to date due to the Arbors and Nedegaard plus some <br /> 26 residential developments is $5,170,000.00. The valuation for 1995 was $1,600,000.00. <br /> 27 Mornson reported Judy Monson, Receptionist/License Clerk, is taking a leave of absence <br /> 28 for the month of November for medical reasons and Lorri Kopischke, Council Secretary, <br /> 29 will be filling in for her on a part-time basis. <br /> 30 VIII. PUBLIC HEARING -None. <br /> 31 IX. NEW BUSINESS <br /> 32 A. Resolution 95-056. re: Approve Submittal of Ramsey County SCORE Grant <br /> Application. <br /> 4t Motion by Marks, second by Enrooth to adopt Resolution 95-056, regarding approving <br /> 35 submittal of the 1996 Ramsey County SCORE funding grant application and entering <br /> 36 into a contract for this program. <br />
