City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br /> • March 12, 1996 <br /> Page 3 <br /> 1 VII. REPORTS. <br /> 2 A. Mayor. <br /> 3 Mayor Ranallo reported recently he had a meeting with Falcon Heights to discuss <br /> 4 police. They stated they were pleased with the police service they have received in <br /> 5 the past and questioned whether the contract would be renewed. Mayor Ranallo <br /> 6 indicated he felt an agreement could be reached. <br /> 7 B. Councilmembers. <br /> 8 Wagner reported his attendance at the Community:Services Advisory Meeting. He <br /> 9 stated Community Services has been overwhelmed with registrations and reported <br /> 10 it should be a good semester. He also attended the Merchants Association Meeting <br /> 11 and reported a tentative Antique Auto Show is in the planning stages. <br /> 12 Faust had nothing to report. <br /> 13 Enrooth announced there were be a Village Festival Meeting next Monday (March <br /> 14 18). All is going well and there may not need to be a meeting held every month. <br /> 0 The Committee questioned how parking would be addressed. <br /> 16 C. City Manager. <br /> 17 Mornson reported there will be a joint meeting with the School Board on March 19 <br /> 18 at 6:00 P.M. An agenda will be provided prior to the meeting at the Senior High <br /> 19 School. <br /> 20 Marks arrived at 7:10 P.M. <br /> 21 <br /> 22 Morrison recently attended a meeting with the MCTO regarding possible cutbacks <br /> 23 in services. They proposed cutting out Saturday service to Apache. He requested <br /> 24 Council provide their comments on the sheets provided which will in turn be faxed <br /> 25 to the MCTO. <br /> 26 Mornson presented the Council with copies of an article in the Star Tribune <br /> 27 regarding Property Tax Freezes. Mayor Ranallo indicated he spoke with people at <br /> 28 the League and they may be looking at a levy limit rather than a tax freeze. They <br /> 29 are looking at freezing employee wages. <br /> 30 Mornson provided a report prepared by the County for Council review prior to the <br /> April 9, 1996 6:30 P.M. Board of Review. The report shows home sales for 1995. <br /> 2 Mayor Ranallo requested Mornson to obtain information on 1996 home sales. <br />
