PRESENTATION OF CLAIMS. <br /> 2 Motion by Marks, second by Wagner to approve the following claims: <br /> 3 A. Foster, Ojile. Wentzell & Brever in the amount of$2,600.00 for professional services <br /> 4 rendered for the month of September, 1996. <br /> 5 B. Dorsey & Whitney in the amount of$1,994.02 for legal services rendered through July <br /> 6 31, 1996. <br /> 7 C. Bill Bruce AIV Design& Production in the amount of$925.00 for Equipment Design for <br /> . 8 the City Hall/Community Center. <br /> 9 D. 3 pages of Verified Claims as presented by the Finance Director. <br /> 10 City Manager Morrison explained the amount of$925.00 to Bill Bruce A/V Design&Production <br /> 11 was the second of two payments for this amount. <br /> 12 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 13 VII. REPORTS. <br /> 14 A. Councilmembers. <br /> 15 Couricilmember Wagner noted that the Director of the Library will be speaking on <br /> 16 September 19, 1996. He encouraged Councilmembers to attend to commend Jeff for the <br /> good work he has done at the St. Anthony Library and also to meet the new Librarian. <br /> 18 There was Council consensus to direct Staff to draft a letter to Jeff to express the <br /> 19 Council's appreciation for the services he had given to the St. Anthony Library. <br /> 20 Councilmember Faust reported his attendance at a meeting of a Property Tax Reform <br /> 21 Task Force where a position on property tax reform was prepared for the League of <br /> 22 Minnesota Cities. This position will be presented to the Improving Fiscal Futures Policy <br /> 23 Committee next Thursday. This hopefully will be the position the League of Minnesota <br /> 24 Cities will present at the Legislative session next year. <br /> 25 Councilmember Marks reported the St. Anthony Orchestra was playing tonight at a <br /> 26 National Conference for an Automobile Service Organization. <br /> 27 <br /> 28 B. Mayor. <br /> 29 1. Proclamation Recognizing the 75th Anniversary of the Salvation Army's Silver <br /> 30 Lake Camp. <br /> 31 Motion by Marks, second by Wagner to approve a Proclamation recognizing the <br /> 32 75th Anniversary of the Salvation Army's's Silver Lake Camp. <br /> 33 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Mayor Ranallo presented Shawn McAlpine of the Salvation Army with a <br /> 35 Proclamation recognizing the year of 1996 as the 75th Anniversary of the <br /> 36 Salvation Army Silver Lake Camp's commitment and dedication to children and <br />
