Resolution 96-058, re: Approve Plans and Specifications and Ordering Advertisement for <br /> 4 Bids for 1997 Street Improvements. <br /> 5 Morrison reported neighborhood meetings were held to discuss this issue and only 10 of <br /> 6 the 50 affected residents participated. <br /> 7 Robert L. Moberg, Rieke Carroll Muller Associates, Inc.,reported the assessments for <br /> 8 Roosevelt Avenue will be in the range of$2,000.00 to $3,000.00 per property. The rate <br /> 9 of$36.00 per linear foot is higher than in recent years because most of the properties on <br /> 10 35th Avenue have only side frontage. <br /> 11 Wagner asked why all the properties were not assessed for water main connections. <br /> 12 Mr. Moberg stated there are two properties on 35th Avenue between Harding and Edward <br /> 13 Streets which have private service. He assured the Council that the service runs in the <br /> 14 boulevard and if the private services had to be repaired it would not have an adverse <br /> 15 affect on the streets. <br /> 10 Morrison noted Mr. Moberg had sent a letter to Hennepin County requesting their Public <br /> 17 Works share in the cost of the work on 35th Avenue and Stinson Boulevard. <br /> 18 Motion by Marks, second by Faust to approve Resolution 96-058, approving plans and <br /> 19 specifications and ordering advertisement for bids for the improvement of Roosevelt <br /> 20 Street, between 35th Avenue N.E. and 37th Avenue N.E.; and, 35th Avenue N.E., <br /> 21 between Stinson Boulevard and Harding Street by reconstruction of the roadways and <br /> 22 utilities. <br /> 23 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 24 <br /> 25 Mornson noted bids will be open December 17, 1996 and City Council will consider bids <br /> 26 on February 11, 1997, after the assessment hearings. <br /> 27 B. Resolution 96-057, re: Termination of Apache Wells' Lease. <br /> 28 Motion by Marks, second by Enrooth to approve Resolution 96-057, approving the <br /> 29 termination of lease agreement relating to space leased for the operation of the Apache <br /> 30 Wells Bar and Grill. <br /> 31 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> • <br />
