City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br /> November 4, 1997 <br /> • Page 4 <br /> 1 The City applied for a grant and the City is one of the three entities that would go to the next <br /> 2 step forward. Another application will be submitted. He will be meeting with WSB <br /> 3 regarding the application. <br /> 4 The City also applied for another grant and received word that the City would receive some <br /> 5 funding through the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency. <br /> 6 2. Liquor Store Update <br /> 7 There is a roof problem. Tires Plus has to be closed Tuesday and Wednesday due to the roof <br /> 8 problems. They will have to be paid for their time closed. The roof should be done-by <br /> 9 tomorrow. Sav II will be closed the week of November 10, 1997. A Grand Opening will be <br /> 10 held. <br /> 11 3. Open House for Larry Hamer on November 20, 1997 from 2:00 - 3:30 p.m. <br /> 12 4. The City has no written sidewalk policy. Marks stated when sidewalks are <br /> 13 planned, maintenance should be part of the planning process. <br /> 14 5. Mornson will attend a League of Minnesota Cities will meet November 6, 1997 <br /> on possible changes to mobile home parks. <br /> 16 6. 33rd Avenue NE Update <br /> 17 MnDOT will pay for the 8 foot sidewalks on 33rd Avenue NE. Light placement will be <br /> 18 reviewed. <br /> 19 Motion by Marks, second by Enrooth to recess the City Council Meeting at 8:30 p.m. for a <br /> 20 meeting of the Canvass Board to canvass the results of the November 4, 1997 City Election. <br /> 21 The Council Meeting was reconvened at 8:32 p.m.. <br /> 22 Mayor Ranallo left the meeting at 8:33 p.m. Mayor Pro Tem Enrooth continued the meeting. <br /> 23 VIII. PUBLIC HEARINGS - None. <br /> 24 IX. NEW BUSINESS. <br /> 25 A. Resolution 97-052, re: SCORE Recycling Grant Application for 1998 <br /> 26 Wagner questioned why USA Waste was not included in the list of collectors. Mornson <br /> 27 asked if they were a major collector and Wagner stated he did not know for sure. Mornson <br /> 28 will look into that and amend the Resolution if necessary. <br /> 49 Motion by Marks, second by Wagner to approve Resolution 97-052, regarding SCORE <br /> 30 Recycling Grant Application for 1998. <br />
