• CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br /> SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL. <br /> November 25, 1998 <br /> 1 The meeting was called to order at 4:00 PM by Mayor Ranallo. <br /> 2 <br /> 3 Councilmembers present: Faust, Thuesen, Marks, Cavanaugh, Ranallo <br /> 4 <br /> 5 Councilmembers absent: None. <br /> 6 <br /> 7 Also present: City Manager Michael Mornson; Peter Willenbring and Todd Hubmer from <br /> 8 WSB & Associates, Inc. <br /> 9 <br /> 10 Mayor Ranallo turned the meeting over to Mr. Willenbring. Willenbring distributed a <br /> 11 memorandum which outlined the results of a meeting which took place earlier in the day with <br /> 12 the Richard Knutson Incorporated company. The Knutson company had been awarded the bid <br /> 13 to do the construction work on the redevelopment of Silver Point Park. The Knutson company <br /> 14 expressed concerns about the possibility of a change in conditions at the Silver Point Park <br /> 15 project area, a Change Order costing an additional $230,000 for the project. <br /> 16 Mr. Willenbring reviewed the terms which had been negotiated with Richard Knutson <br /> 18 Incorporated. The conditions of the proposed Change Order are as follows: <br /> 19 <br /> 20 1. Richard Knutson will agree to excavate, screen, sort from the demolition material any <br /> 21 unclassified material that cannot be disposed of as demolition materials and remove <br /> 22 from the site all remaining material for an additional cost of$160,350. <br /> 23 <br /> 24 2. Richard Knutson will agree to resume work in earnest on Monday, November 30' and <br /> 25 take full responsibility for completing the work. They do request a 14 day time <br /> 26 extension to the June 30, 1999 completion date. It is also understood that if weather <br /> 27 conditions permit and the excavation work is completed in December, this time <br /> 28 extension will not be necessary. <br /> 29 <br /> 30 3. Richard Knutson is requesting the allowable working hours be changed from 7:00 AM <br /> 31 to 7:00 PM M. nday through Friday to 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM Monday through Saturday <br /> 32 until this excavation work is complete. <br /> 33 <br /> 34 4. It is understood that the City will be required to pay for the disposal of unclassified <br /> 35 materials. This includes materials such as tires, selected types of pipe, and/or other <br /> 36 hazardous materials. <br /> 37 <br />
