REPORTS. . <br /> 24 A. Presentation of Certificate of Appreciation to Jim Gondorchin, former Planning <br /> 25 Commissioner. <br /> 26 Ranallo welcomed Jim Gondorchin who served on the Planning Commission for 8 years, and <br /> 27 presented a plaque to him in appreciation for his service. He thanked Gondorchin for his years of <br /> 28 service and expressed the Council's appreciation. Gondorchin expressed his regret at leaving the <br /> 29 Commission and his pleasure at having worked on the Commission. He expressed his belief in <br /> 30 the importance of community service. <br /> 31 <br /> 32 Faust added his thanks, stating that Gondorchin's ability to deal with diversity of opinions will <br /> 33 be missed on the Planning Commission. <br /> 34 <br /> 35 B. Request from Knights of Columbus to conduct Tootsie Roll Fund Raiser for mentally <br /> 36 handicapped children on April 23, 24 and 25, 1999. <br /> 37 Ranallo welcomed Dan Prockett, a representative from the Knights of Columbus, and invited <br /> 38 him to address the Council. Mr. Prockett stated that the Knights of Columbus are planning their <br /> 39 annual Tootsie Roll fundraising drive for the weekend of April 23-25, 1999, during which <br /> Tootsie Rolls are handed out and donations are accepted. He added that the proceeds from this <br /> 1*41 drive will benefit mentally handicapped children in the community. <br />
