Resolution 99-062, re: November and December 1999 City Council MeetingDom. 3 Ranallo clarified that it is necessary to modify the dates for meetings in November and 4 December 1999 in regard to the Truth-in-Taxation hearings. Specifically, the November 23, 5 1999. meeting is changed to November 30 to allow for the Truth-in-Taxation hearing, and in 6 December, the regular Council meeting is changed from December 14, 1999 to December 16, 7 1999 for the purpose of reconvening the Truth-in-Taxation public hearing. 8 Motion by Marks, second by Faust,to approve,Resolution 99-062 stating that the City will hold 9 it's meetings in November and December 1999 on the following dates: 10 November 2, 1999 8:00 p.m. Council Work Session (and canvass of local 11 election results) 12 November 9, 1999 7:00 p.m. Council Regular Meeting 13 November 23, 1999 Council Regular Meeting canceled 14 November 30, 1999 7:00 p.m. Council Regular Meeting(Truth-in-Taxation public 15 hearing) aDecember 7, 1999 7:00 p.m. Council Work Session 18 December 16, 1999 7:00 p.m. Council Regular Meeting (this is a change from December 19 14, 1999) 20 December 28, 1999 Council Regular Meeting (canceled) 21 Motion carried unanimously. 22 IX. PUBLIC HEARINGS. 23 A. Resolution 99-063,re: Authorize Tax Rate Increase and Resolution 99-064, re: Set 24 Proposed 2000 Tax Leyy and Budget. 25 Mayor Ranallo opened the public hearing at 8:05 p.m. There was no one in attendance for the 26 public hearing. 27 28 Motion by Marks, second by Thuesen, to close the public hearing at 8:06 p.m. 29 Motion carried unanimously. 30 Motion by Marks, second by Faust, to approve Resolution 99-063 authorizing the County 31 Auditor to fix a property tax rate for taxes payable in the year 2000 that is higher than the tax rate calculated pursuant to Minnesota Statutes §204B.135 for the City for taxes levied in 1998, collectible in 1999.
