Work on the list of redevelopment projects during the upcoming year. <br /> 3 Other goals and objectives were mentioned on page 38 of the agenda packets, and related to pro- <br /> 4 tecting the infrastructure of the City, and providing a park system that offers a mix of <br /> 5 recreational opportunities for residents of all ages. <br /> 6 Sparks mentioned a possible addition to item no. 6 under St. Anthony's Key Goals for 2000- <br /> 7 2001 which would be to encourage an increase in the number of block clubs to facilitate_ the level <br /> 8 of communications between the City and residents. <br /> 9 Motion by Thuesen to approve Resolution 00-027, a Resolution Adopting a Strategic Planning <br /> 10 Report, wherein the City Council of the City of St. Anthony hereby adopts the Strategic Planning <br /> 11 Report developed by Lynn & Associates following the strategic planning sessions for the City of <br /> 12 St. Anthony, with the following addition: <br /> 13 Under St. Anthony's Key Goals for 2000-2001 <br /> 14 "Offer clear, current, and open communications through a variety of means so people are in- <br /> formed about St. Anthony's important issues and news. Additionally, the development of block <br /> it clubs will be encouraged in order to facilitate the level of communications between the City and <br /> 17 the residents. " <br /> 18 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 19 C. Presentation of 1999 City Audit by Stuart Bonniwell, City Auditor. <br /> 20 Mayor Cavanaugh announced that Stuart J. Bonniwell, Certified Public Accountant, was present <br /> 21 to present the audit report to the Council. Cavanaugh explained that the audit reports are new to <br /> 22 the most recent Councilmembers. Additionally, Mr. Bonniwell's presentation of the <br /> 23 audit/Council report was pursuant to the contract that the City has with Mr. Bonniwell. <br /> 24 Cavanaugh clarified that the audit/Council report provides important information and he <br /> 25 encouraged the Councilmembers to meet with Mr. Bonniwell if any further questions arose that <br /> 26 were not answered in his presentation. <br /> 27 Mr. Bonniwell addressed the Council and directed attention to his letter of March 28, 2000 <br /> 28 wherein certain observations were communicated and noted during the audit of the general pur- <br /> 29 pose financial statements of the City for the year ended December 31, 1999. The comments were <br /> 30 presented for the Council's information and consideration. Additionally, comments and recom- <br /> 31 mendations in the report were constructive in nature and intended to provide recommendations to <br /> 32 improve and/or strengthen internal control, financial management, and administration. <br /> Mr. Bonniwell presented an in-depth study and report of the City's financial structure and fielded <br /> 4 various questions from the Councilmembers.
