1 CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br /> • CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br /> 3 November 28, 2000 <br /> 4 I. 'CALL TO ORDER. <br /> 5 Mayor Cavanaugh called the meeting to order at 7:25 p.m.. <br /> 6 II. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. <br /> 7 Mayor Cavanaugh invited the Council and the audience to join in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> 8 III. ROLL CALL. <br /> 9 Councilmembers present: Mayor Cavanaugh; Councilmembers Sparks, Thuesen, Horst and <br /> 10 Hodson <br /> I l Councilmembers absent: None. <br /> 12 Also present: City Manager Michael Morrison; City Attorney William Soth <br /> 13 IV. APPROVAL OF NOVEMBER 28, 2000 CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING <br /> 14 AGENDA. <br /> 15 Motion by Hodson to approve the November 28, 2000 City Council Regular Meeting Agenda as <br /> 16 presented. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 18 V. PROCLAMATIONS AND RECOGNITIONS. <br /> 19 A. Presentation of a Plaque to City Attorney William Soth. <br /> 20 Mayor Cavanaugh noted that City Attorney Bill Soth is retiring at the end of the year. In that re- <br /> 21 spect, Cavanaugh noted that Mr. Soth has been St. Anthony's City Attorney for 22 years, and <br /> 22 with the firm of Dorsey & Whitney for 34 years. <br /> 23 Mayor Cavanaugh presented a plaque to Mr. Soth and expressed the City's sincere thanks for all <br /> 24 of his hard work and dedication. Mr. Soth spoke by stating that he appreciated the opportunity to <br /> 25 work with the City, and has always felt that he was lucky to have the association with the City. <br /> 26 He remarked that the City has an excellent staff and feels that the residents can be proud of the <br /> 27 Village and Staff. <br /> 28 VI. COMMUNITY FORUM. <br /> 29 Mayor Cavanaugh invited any of the residents in the audience to discuss issues that are not on <br /> 30 the regular meeting agenda. Hearing none, Cavanaugh moved forward with the agenda. <br /> 31 VII. CONSENT AGENDA. <br /> 32 Motion by Thuesen to approve the Consent Agenda, which consisted of: <br /> 1. City Council Meeting Minutes of November 14, 2000. <br /> 2. Licenses and Permits. <br /> 35 3. Claims; and <br />
