Flow requirements for commercial and industrial areas are signi- <br /> ficantly higher. Fire flows at 20 psi residual pressure were <br /> calculated based on each of the flow tests and are shown on the <br /> above table . Based on this critieria , the area which can <br /> effectively be served from the proposed connection are shown on <br /> the drawing. <br /> The effective service area includes approximately 330 residen- <br /> tial customers and an elementary school. This area represents <br /> approximately 10 percent of the total city water demand. The <br /> peak daily water usage of the entire City based on previous <br /> records is 3.3 million gallons per day (MGD) . The peak daily <br /> demand of the remaining area ( 90%) can then be estimated at 3.0 <br /> MGD. The total capacity of the present St . Anthony supply wells <br /> is 2.9 MGD. Therefore, on days of peak water usage, the present <br /> city supply would not be capable of meeting the water demand of <br /> the remaining areas in the city. <br />
