I checked into repair and was told the parts needed are too old <br /> to stock or even to manufacture. Because this equipment affects pressure, should <br /> a line break, the chlorine which is left in the cylinder would be expended. Thus, <br /> partial use of this equipment certainly not a favorable condition. <br /> The vacuum chlorinator, which I am proposing, would be an improvement in that it <br /> is up to date equipment and would stop automatically should a break in the vacuum <br /> occur. <br /> • Two quotations have been received, one from Layne Minnesota for $1 , 180 complete <br /> and the other from Feed-Rite Controls for one Advance Gas Chlorinator, $1 ,2.10 <br /> complete. <br /> ALTERNATIVES : <br /> RECOMMENDATION: Recommend low bid of $1 ,180 from Layne Minnesota. <br /> • C TY MANAGER'S REVIEW: COMMENTS : <br />
