This budget should cover the period for which grant funds are requested in THIS application. Budget figures should reflect how the applicant intends. to spend the federal funds requested in this application. a. Personnel. Project cost must be the total wages or salary to be paid to the person during the period covered by THIS grant application. b:. Fringe Benefits. Indicate the total cost, if any, of each benefit pro— vided for the period covered by this application. c. Travel. Travel costs should be based on the best estimates of the applicant. State agencies must use state travel regulations. Local units of government must adhere to local travel regulations. In cases where no formal travel regulations exist, state travel regulations apply. List the total travel cost anticipated. d. Equipment. Indicate the total cost in this category all purchased tangible personal property having a useful life of more than one year and an acquisition cost of $300 or more per unit. Refer to cost allow- ability principles and procurement procedures and standards printed in M7100.1B, Financial Management for Planning and Action Grants. e. Supplies. Indicate the total cost in this category all tangible items that will be consumed during the life of this project. Also include tangible items having a useful life of one year or more and an acquisi— tion cost of less than $300. f. Contracted Services. List the total project cost of services to be provided by consultants utilized by this project, e.g.,, survey research, curriculum development. g. Other Direct Costs. Indicate all direct costs not previously listed, e.g. , space rental, telephone service, minor remodeling, leasing of equipment.
