MEMORANDUM <br /> DATE: , September 2 , 1987 <br /> TO: David Childs, City Manager; Department Heads <br /> FROM: Connie Kroeplin, Administrative Secretary <br /> ITEM: STAFF MEETING NOTES - SEPTEMBER 1 , 1987 <br /> - The meeting began at 10 : 05- A.M. Those present were Dave Childs , <br /> Connie Kroeplin, Carol Johnson, Don Hickerson, Larry Hamer, Lee <br /> Entner, and Ray Nelson. <br /> Before Chief Entner began the meeting with his Department , Mr. <br /> Childs gave each of the Department Heads posters and pamphlets <br /> regarding the upcoming United way campaign. Rallies will be held <br /> on Wednesday, September 23rd. <br /> Lee Entner <br /> 1 . Bill Myers has contacted the owners of the bus stop benches <br /> to seek their permission to put fire safety messages , i.e. , <br /> "Stop, Drop, Roll" , on unused benches. There are two <br /> benches available in St. Anthony now and the owners have <br /> agreed to let the safety messages be displayed on them <br /> during time periods when they do not have paid ads. <br /> 2 . Bob Lee' s status will be updated some time after today. <br /> 3 . All City employees, including the City Council, are <br /> scheduled to have Civil Defense ID photos taken September <br /> 22 and 23 . ( Councilmembers would be photographed prior to <br /> the Council meeting. ) <br /> Don Hickerson <br /> 1 . Focusing his attention on an animal control service and, <br /> also, computer options. <br /> 2 . Officer Ohl will participate in child safety days at Apache <br /> Plaza. Tours of a miniature Safety City will be given to <br /> children October 23 , 24 , and 25. <br /> 3 . The 1985 Ford squad car was sold for $3 , 100 at the recent <br /> Hennepin County auction. <br /> • <br />
